California - Northern

My hatching eggs came from Skyline.

Check with juststruttin to see if she has some now or can put you on a list for them.

Thanks for ref Ron. No, sorry. I am also sold out of Basque. I have eggs and can hatch chicks, but I won't have started birds til next year.

It is great to hear from You!

We're in Redding and are looking for fertilized duck eggs. Ideally we would like khaki cambells, golden 300s, welsh harlequins, or buffs. My 10 yr old son wants to raise them to sell their eggs and possibly show them. If you can refer me to someone that would be great! We are willing to drive a good distance to get them. Thank you :-)

Zooweemama lives in Redding and had fertile Duck eggs. She was working towards having Silver Appleyards.

Yes, ammonia can also make them sneeze.

Watch for swollen and or nasal discharge. Those are signs of a respiratory problem
No swollen nasal passages but a couple have eye discharge.

Not good, sounds like a respiratory illness - which is contagious. Keep them away from your flock.

Monday! I hope the postman doesn't throw the 5 feet onto my front stoop like last time :

In other chicken related news... One of the three serama is frizzle. Feisty things fly right out of my hand and peck me on the way!im shopping for a nice multi level indoor cage because its just easier than figuring how to keep them in the snow. Have not broke it to the hubby yet since he is still building a quail pen and additional run on my extra coop.....

When did they ship. I like to ship Saturdays to land Monday seems to work the best for me.

If a bird has cocci is it contagious? Or does it just get passed through infected poop? I have a few chicks I got from someone and they're puffed up and sneezing, and scrawny. I just started corid today. They're seperate but I'm worried about the rest of my chickens though.
You may want to give them Poly Vi Sol and use a little Vet Rex (Vet Rex on there feet. just a little at a young age. its like vicks for chickens and will help if they have a cold)

I agree with Ron. Amy Beth has posted amazing pictures of her ducks in the past. Hoping life will slow down a little and she will be able to check in more often. Her appleyards looked amazing.

I'm seeing Craigslist adds for a few breeds of ducks up here but you won't get many eggs from the drakes they are trying to sell. If they are a project for your son I would start with ducklings that are bonded to you.
