Yes, I have two week olds chicks, 4 day or chicks and a batch in the bator. The batch in the bator are being hatched for two other people.

Yes, Laura one of them is you. I only managed to collect 6 CL eggs for you so hopefully you'll get enough girls.

Cream Legbars! Love! The ones I hatched from Jeff are fab. They get my vote for funniest sounds too! lmbo!

Stunning as always.
Thanks!

I have to share- I am not sure who all has CLs but they are hilarious. When we had to move them to the new coop, the first few days we had to go catch them and carry them...the roosters literally sound like a woman screaming (it goes ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh in a high pitch voice lmbo). We die laughing every time we have to catch and hold one.

Ok so my Orpington that was in the nest box wasn't in there to lay an egg she was in there cuz she had bumble foot! I did the surgery and one other orp had it too. Then I checked everyone else and nobody but my marans/olive egger pen had it.

Why only those 2 pens? What am I doing wrong with them?

Once upon a time my Sizzle roo nailed my bantam blue laced red Wyandotte hen. Here is their rooster offspring.

I thought I'd share a grown up pic of the roo. I gave away the pullets.

Nothing really. It is a staff infection, so the Staff is in their pen and not in the other ones.

And sharp edges, splintery wood etc they could be stepping on? Are they caged (not free ranged on open land)? I have an Oprington who has had chronic BF because she keeps climbing into the blackberry bushes. Treat and retreat and the stinker keeps doing it. Bumblefoot is a staph infection so usually they get a wound (even tiny pin pricks of a wound) and then the bacteria builds up voila- bumblefoot!
