California - Northern

You can come help me then Ron. I went shopping for fabric on Friday to reupholster my dining room chairs. There were some really nice striped fabric, but I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get the stripes straight. I brought home some swatches to contemplate.
I fear my upholstery days are over But I will cheer from the sidelines.

A good tack hammer is a must though. The magnet on the hammer head really helps keep things lined up as you set the tacks in the correct place.

I have 2 pet Silkies, 1 M -White & 1 F -Black, each 1.2 y.o. From a Hatchery to local Farm supplier, they rec'd all immunization, at Hatchery, prior to sale. Very healthy, Pretty with sweet dispositions. Greatly bonded with the other.

The Female is special..... in that she mirror's the Rooster. She imitates him, in EVERY way, including crowing, just like the Roo. And, no egg's yet.

Currently, looking to get them into a great - permanent home, together. Making room for more ducks.

Located, N.Cal., SF Bay Area (North), Reply directly, if interested.

Thanks.

That is quite fancy!

We used to help my Grand Ma re upholster chairs when we were in High School. Her hands were too weak in her old age to pull the material.

You could find a nice old chair and fix it up too. The really old ones were stuffed with Horse Hair.
I have 8 dining room chairs that need to be re-upholtered. I just need to find the right fabric and the time to do it!

I love the Silver Laced pattern. So striking..... Bird envy is not pleasant.

Me too! I've spent the past year looking for Silver Laced Wyandotte breeding stock.
while lurking, learning and drooling to keeping up with everyone the best I can.

Loving Debs turkeys too Jason. Grandma and Grandpa always had a few on the farm. Maybe someday....
.
While searching and reading all I can get my hands on, I've added the Black Laced blr's from Chickee and a few Lavender Ameraucana's to go with my layer Marans. We really love those dark eggs

Now at last I am ready to share a few photos as the slw youngsters are developing into a vision of black and white. All are from related flocks and none were bred locally. They are mouth watering We have a quad!!! :celebrate

Thanks Chickee You are on my list when they start laying. You can help test hatch. I know how you LOVE to hatch. :yiipchick

We catch ours for worming, etc. by getting them one by one as they come out of the coop in the morning. We open the little door, catch the bird as it comes out, shut the door, treat the bird, then do it again. It takes a while and the last few have to be chased out of the coop but it works well for us. Our coop opens into a run that can be closed so sometimes we let the last few come down the ramp, close the coop door, and catch them in the run. All treated birds get shut out of the run and coop as soon as they are treated. It is better to have 2 people but I have done it by myself.
I like that idea too! Except mine all push their way out together. Stampeedeeeeee!!!!
