A year of searching? You should have asked here. She's not active anymore, but Katy has some fantastic SLW.

That's pretty but if I got one, I would feel obligated to fill it, and the desire to empty it.

.[/quote]Hi, I am having some difficulty looking for an answer to moving chickens to another town. We are moving from Placerville to San Andreas, down past Jackson, CA. We will build the coop first then I thought about putting the 20 chickens into the back of my husbands truck, it has a shell on it, and just taking them all to the new place. Would that be ok? It's about 2 hours from where we are now. They might have a little diarrhea but they might be jostled around a bit. I don't have crates to put them in. Any suggestions? Or could you point me to the correct Forum. Thank you.

Well I just moved my chickens about a 15-20 minute drive and I borrowed the biggest pet carrier I have ever seen from the Placer SPCA. It held 11 chickens, but I could have squeezed the other two it without a problem. It was a warm day so I tried to give them a little room.Hi, I am having some difficulty looking for an answer to moving chickens to another town. Cardboard boxes with holes in the side. Put shavings in the bottom to keep them from sliding around. Bankers boxes work great too, but you have to tape the lid shut.Hi, I am having some difficulty looking for an answer to moving chickens to another town.
