California - Northern

I'm wondering that since it may be mating season, the are so preoccupied with that and not paying attention. Plus going further distance. Funny how that works
The deer are mating now, I think the coons, possoms, etc. are driving their young out. It will be survival of the fittest for the young this winter.

I was wondering if anyone in Northern CA (north of Sacramento...Butte County would be even better) might have some EE pullets for sale. I really want some blue or green eggs and the EE I bought from our local feed store looks like is going to be a rooster. I prefer pullets due to the time of year, but if someone will have chicks or eggs in the spring that would work too.

I have one buff EE pullet (I think she just started laying yesterday) plus I am downsizing and have 3 pure buff Ameraucana hens (going on 2 years old) and their daughters 1+ year old EEs (buff x blue wheaten Ameraucana) available. This spring I will have pure wheaten/blue wheaten Ameraucana and Olive Egger chicks out of my golden cuckoo Marans rooster and Ameraucana hens

I have Amelias(Crele Penedesenca X Cream Legbar) that lay light green to Olive colored eggs. The folks that get eggs from me would be very disappointed if I did not have those colors though.

Still, let me know if you are interested. I do kind of have too many OEs.

Get them for chickee!

I mentioned for Christmas I wanted an incubator. I through out my trashed hova bator a while back. So my husband said "Hey find the baddest hatcher thing you wanted, and where to buy it. I'm getting you that for Christmas". Of course he probably doesn't know the baddest can be upwards of $400+. I'm thinking of the Brinsea 20 without humidity regulation. Do you mind sharing what you all have?

In my defense, the incubator is set up in the basement guest room. All 12 of the golden cuckoo Marans pullet eggs I set are growing and due to hatch on the 21st

The Brinsea Octagon series is great for small hatches. I have the Octagon 40 ex advance. It has the humidity pump and is fantastic! I hatch in a Genesis 1588--I have two of those. I had 100plus eggs incubating and one time this year. Exciting times!

If you will ever want the humidity pump, it is cheaper to get it with the combined purchase from Brinsea. When I got mine, it was $90.00 with the purchase and $120.00 and up as a single purchase.

Brinsea has a discount code most of the time. The code changes, so go to their facebook page to find the current code.

Really??? So am I!  That would be prefect!!!  I will see if I can get in touch with her..... Thanks so much!!!   :yiipchick
I keep hearing there is a hatchery down the hill in Chico. Have you heard of it? The rumor is it is for commercial layers but have never been able to get a name.
