I would be interested in getting 10 Gold Polish from Urch if you guys need one more person to go in on an order.
and if there's need for any other folks to make up the order, i could ask for some silver campines!

Dust on power lines? I haven't ever heard of that.Yes, it is a rainy day!
The first rainy day in a long time. The roads will be very slick as the oils and muck wash up so watch the curves!
Also, Dust on power lines can knock out the power so make sure the battery backups are running on your incubators.
It sounds like you need some Dark egg layers or Olive colored egg layers. I bet Jason can help you....Dust on power lines? I haven't ever heard of that.
So I am kind of tempted to do the NYD hatch, but I don't want quail indoors until spring. They can be stiiiiinnkyyy! Plus the dust they produce is bananas!
The Cots mature so quickly that I would have to weed out the keepers and the non-keepers probably by February 1 and it is still cold and wet around here so that means I would have to keep them warm.......
I seem to be getting a steady supply of about 4 eggs a day from my 13 chickens. I do know that I have various layers. I should have taken a picture of the colors. The light brown ones are a bit pinkish, which I do like. Got a nice big one yesterday. Not a double, but starting to get to the large egg size. My Ameraucana finally started squatting this weekend. I am hoping for a blue egg soon! I have noticed that I have a lot of medium sized white eggs in my group. I think that the 3 Polish are all on track and the 2 MFL's are laying. What color eggs to DLBB's lay? I can't remember.
I have no Rooster so I wouldn't be able to hatch my own, but I think it would be fun to do a small hatch. Not so much work.
Although with shipped eggs I would do double what I wanted and hope for a few. Plus this is a new house, I have no idea of temperatures inside and I only have the Genesis 1588 that needs a pretty stable room environment.
Hmmmmmm it either sounds like a challenge or a stress........I guess it depends on how tired I am and how busy I will be at the time.![]()
I forgot @tls_ranch !@juststruttin and @chiqita are very good with shipping. Deanne is busy with a tree farm now though. @debs_flock may have some and @Hangtown Farms has very cool Penedesencas. @Meg2000000 may not have pens set up but if she does, she has EO Marraduna Basque Hens and Pita Pintas.
I would be comfortable with any of the shipping to you in Redding. Have them ask the PO to hold the package for pickup if you do not trust your PO Delivery person.
He is just testing the Warden?![]()
Yes, Great Chicken and Dumplings.
They should not start being aggressive at 2 years old. Something must have set him off--like a different color of finger nail polish? Is that somewhat common? The other 3 roos I have/have had dealings with have never shown aggression to people.
I have a 3 year old Welsummer that flogged me the other day. I felt something come up behind me and hit my leg and was completely shocked when I realized it was him. He has always been such a gentleman with me and his ladies. Instincts took over and I slipped my foot under his belly and tossed him about 10 feet. He has not come within 50 feet of me since. I think he will behave himself for the next 3 years. They should not start being aggressive at 2 years old. Something must have set him off--like a different color of finger nail polish?
I've used a Pedi-paw also. I can get smaller attachments for the dremel an it's scary getting the wheel close to all those extra toes they seem to grow when I'm trying to trim!Electric Dremmels are fairly inexpensive at Walmart.
