she may have eaten too many bugs along with the flax in the feed- that can cause fishy eggs too.Thanks Ron, ya her rear has no issues. So that crosses that off the list. Maybe it's just a hatchery bird with laying issues. But the one egg having the fishy smell is off-putting. Not confident it's the same hen(50/50 chance) Its not really bad, but I notice it. I did read that brown layers sometimes don't convert Omega oils well.
It probably is a hatchery egg laying issue. She may even have a reproductive cancer. It is very common as hatchery hens age.
