My boy is doing his duty but my pullets are still a few weeks away from laying. They scream when he grabs them and run to get away. I do have some Pita Pinta/splash Langshan cross eggs in my incubator. I hope that a few of them hatch. It will be interesting to see what a cross of my 2 favorite chicken breeds looks like!

It will be fun to see what you get from that cross.

My favorite chicken is missing x24 hours. I expect the worst. Why do i get so attached? One barred rock girl that I loved. I am moving to a not so nice house just because they allow chickens. Why should I care? Thank you that BYC allows us to say how sad we are when we loose our friends.

oh Im sorry! I will wish her coming back. Did you double check anywher they could be hiding eggs?

I can not attend the Stockton show on Saturday. I have never been to a poultry show but would be interested to learn and meet other crazy chicken people

. The dates show it also being on Sunday. Is it still just as large on Sunday the 26th? Or is Sunday just administrative stuff?

SUnday is over before 12. If you go sunday go EARLY.

Oh my, I don't think I felt this sick in years

I pretty much have been in bed since yesderday. The flu sucks and I feel like I have been run over by a truck. Hopefully my kids don't get it. They got vaccinated, but DH and I didn't. DH is on the mend a little, but is still weak and feverish. He was stuck in bed for over 3 days. So much to do and I can barely type laying down. My house is a mess, I have fruit trees to plant, and I need to build some nest boxes and two " rooster coops".. plus a million other things to do. Good thing I loaded up the chickens with food, I can't even make it down to the coops.

@zooweemama I have muscovy ducks now! They are quite friendly. One of the drakes thinks he is a lap chicken. At over 20 lbs and with claws I dont think so!

I posted for you! You must have missed it. I have some eggs now I think we should make Ron incubate them! I have 10 golf balls out where 3 is laying trying to convince her to sit. Im not sure if Nipperdarling is laying yet or not.

I am not going to try and incubate scovy eggs until the big incubator starts again, and it needs the door re sealed. It was supposed to be this week but our dryer broke and mario is DETERMINED to fix it. He has been at it with tools every night this week digilently fixing the wrong thing while I send him adds for new dryers by day...

Found my sweet girl. Probably a hawk. So, so sad. If I didnt care so much it wouldn't hurt so bad. I am going to try and distance myself. This is too stressful.

I is always sad and they are always the favorite one too.
