update on incubator temp -- my secondary thermometer only disagrees by 0.2°, and who knows which one is actually more exact -- i think the temps in the Rcom are pretty solid -- will be curious at some point to try hatching some of my own lighter-colored eggs, so as to both be able to candle competently & not having shipping issues possibly bringing the hatch rate down...

If you are getting hatchery chicks I would. Not like you are breeding for immunity.

i'll candle the remaining ones after the two chicks still in the incubator have found their sea legs -- i didn't check them after day 8, definitely had three clears from the isbar eggs but there might be more. the marans eggs were too dark for me to tell...

My 8 month old cries when I leave her to go get wood for the fire place. My solution has been to put her in the jumper and call the chickens.

I casually asked mario to grab a tub of marcaspone for a recipe last nigjt. After recovering from the price I have 2/3 of a tub of expensive cheese I was going to try and not waste. Anyone have any great pasta or dinner recipes that will make me happy I spent double digits on a tub of cheese?
