I need to get a listing done for rehoming a blue barnevelder pullet and a black barnevelder pullet to layer flocks.  I just don't want to go out and take pictures today.  Problem is, I keep putting it off.  Ah well, at least they are giving me eggs.
miss barnies in my layer flock:-( how far are you from me up here in south lake?

The rain just started here in Woodland!

I pulled the outside feeders so all should be good!

I watched my little d'uccle hen lay her first egg! I just went down there and she was being weird. I thought she was like constipated so i googled symptoms.... then i looked back over and there was an egg!

Hi guys, silly noob question.

Can you take a dremmel with a sanding wheel and blunt off/file chicken spurs and toenails??

I watched a video where they used a cooked-hot potato and some pliers to remove the spur.

He needs to rest in a quiet place for several days after the procedure. This method is supposed to remove more of the spur and have less blood.

Oh wow that's cool! I don't really want to remove it per se, just take the edge off. I'm wanting to help protect the girls from treading. So I was thinking about using a pedi paws technique on their toenails and maybe spurs.
