California - Northern

I wasnt really thinking about telling them apart, but you are right! The Mottled Ameraucana could look like the OE. I will definitley need to keep them separated. I take you don't think the humidity will make a differnce though. They should all do equally well with the dry method?
If the OE Eggs are from a Blue Shell Cock bird over marans Hens, then the dry method is best for them. If the Hens are Ameraucana or EE then it would not matter too much.

The Broody will of course keep the eggs at the best humidity.

If anyone is interested in watching a live webcast debate on creation vs evolution, it is going to start in about 10 min. It is between Ken Ham (Answers in Genesis CEO) and Bill Nye (The Science Guy). It should be interesting.

Will they have a web cast up tomorrow of the debate?

Walt,

The Marans Chicken Club USA is showin an SOP for black also, but doesn't list a date it was accepted.  It does show some winning birds on that page also.  That is confusing me  if you are saying Black has not yet been accepted.

I am the chairman of the APA Standard Committee, their page is incorrect. Thanks for the heads up.
