I set the eggs exactly 21 days ago at about 4pm.

should they be completely hatched at 4Pm today or begin hatching at 4pm today?

He is technically my Mothers but she can't have chicken so we keep him on the farm. We are dearly hoping to get him some of his own girls some day. I've noticed his tail is really improving. He will be a real stunner once fully matured!

If they hatch we don't worry about the EXACT time. We just celebrate! Happy hatch day

if they are pullets...I did an EE hatch for Beakface's first go round...4/4 all cockerels

Some how no one was interested in buying them

That's aweful! Well so far we have had a little better than 50/50. Like one more pullet than cockerels. Even the people hatching our eggs (for us) have done better than that!

Some how no one was interested in buying them

My last 2 broodies hatched 6 eggs between the 2 of them. (They were both first timers so I only gave them 4 eggs each.) Only 1 was a pullet! She is a cute little all black Langshan/mutt Sumatra mix. She is around 20 weeks old now but still hangs out often with her mama Fiona our Coronation Sussex hen. They are a study in opposites!

I just worked out buying 5 more silkie hens. Ugly mug is dancing for joy (or he will be soon!) Mario however may kill me.i think I will have to make the duck mansion they always try and steal a seperate pen during breeding season. Now to get that racoon trap and catch those stickers so I can sleep at night again.

Maybe that was it...they were donated to my colleague who is also a chicken person. I think they were later made into soup.

The most recent 3 are going to be the first that I process. Anyone here ever process a Wy? I have heard to give them 6 mos. The Del/CG will probably go at the end of the month.

I think Mario will be good. The best quote I heard was from him. "Well you can't really count babies when it comes to counting how many chickens you have". And he was quite convinced this was the truth! Well played Shantih, well played! I think you can get him to see this your way as well.
