I wonder if they have a print out of the standards for the newly accepted breeds that could be inserted into the current SOP? That would make sense for me and I would pay a small price to have the current updates rather than wait for the new book to come out in 6 years.

Thanks, Ron! Tail angles are so different on the different breeds. My Langshans are supposed to have theirs 75% above horizontal. My friend at the farm keeps looking at the two RIR cockerels and thinking that their tails are too low. I was happy that chiqita asked a question about the SOP today. I didn't realize that RIR male tails are only supposed to be 20% above horizontal. That means the the biggest boy we have actually has the best tail set!Something like this:

Yeah! I was not really planning on breeding RIRs but these birds are so big and beautiful! The boys are built like tanks! And their chicks are huge, fluffy things!
It is hard to say no to brick chickens.
