Are they internally pipping already?
Ok, these muscovies aren't' due until Sat. They were set LATE sat Jan 26. I candled tonight before misting and it looks like one may have pipped. Can they move around a lot without pipping? it doesn't look like the air cell line is actually broken, if that makes sense. But this one has lots of movement. I got a video. Muscovies take 35 days so it's has a few more days. The others aren't quite the same.

Doesn't look like it's pipped yet, but it might very soon! I also have some Muscovy eggs due around the 1st.

Wethe new Genesis arrived & we have had it up & running for 2 days & I will load it today with my darkest Marans eggs, Blue/Black AMs, B/B/S Orpingtond, Buff Orpingtons, Light Sussex & a couple of the new Brown Leghorns for fun. We shall see. With the new hygrometer built it & our external hose setup to add water when needed I hope it does a good job.

So pictures of the chicks that hatched today. I'll have to take some more in a couple days, when they aren't so wiggley. Holy cow, they are hard to get pictures of. I'm trying to think of a "special designer name" for the little black ones (like a labradoodle - for a dog). I'm thinking maybe Favralorps - (because I'm thinking they are Australorp/Favorolles mix)

Awww...now I am even more anxious for mine!!!!

I thought of all of you here when I was in Tractor Supply earlier today and saw this on the counter at the checkout. If I knew all of you addresses I would have bought a bunch and sent you each one...

My oldest daughter gave me some of this for Christmas! My kids love to give me funny chicken things! Most of them think that I'm a crazy old chicken lady but that's okay with me! The ingredients are avocado oil, beeswax, jojoba oil, lavender essential oil, sweet orange essential oil, Vitamin E. I just opened mine for the first time. The strongest odor and taste is lavender. I like lavender but it is strong in this product.

Mine think the same of me...but my daughter is looking to buy a house and one of her 'must haves' is that they can have chickens. So I guess I'm not that crazy after all. Either that or she is too!!

I might have to get some of the chicken poop stuff next time I go in there. I like lavender too and the ingredients sound great!

Congrats!

I called the fiest run of my project chickens creamies silkie/cream legbar. After lucy broody got eaten by a racoon who opened the darn coop I only have one left.

Bui I had people call and ask for creamies now because they could not find them .
Sounds like an interesting cross.

Sorry about the raccoon. How did it get in?
