Both are a little far out for George's taste. He does not like the thought of commuting on Hwy 17 every day. He says that every person he knows at work knows someone who has been in a serious accident on that highway. He refuses to let me come down to visit him if there is any chance of rain. I like the Boulder Creek area but the commute up Hwy 9 is not much better. I'm starting to think that he likes his little bachelor pad that is located 1/2 mile from his office on campus.Have you guys thought about los gatos hills or boulder creek? Its beautiful and great schools. The problems in that area when we were looking waslack of houses.
Thank you Walt. That makes sense. And yes, they are getting extremely active now. And they have discovered the water. Seems they want to swim and drink at the same timeI use brooders that have a hardware cloth (wire) flooring. All the excess water and whatever drops through the wire onto shaving in a pan below the brooder. You can do it the way you are doing it, but it is messier when after a few days the ducklings start to play in their water. Ducks like throwing water around. I also use verfry narrow lipped waterers to cut down on available water to be thrown around. I have raised thousands of ducks and this is the best method for me.
Walt
What in the Heckle & Jeckle? Deann, you didn't tell me you had a birthday around the corner when we had lunch last week! And shame on me for being SO behind on my BYC reading.. Well happy late birthday, I hope you had a WONDERFUL day, and weekend! Beach walk and oysters sounds wonderful, I hope the weather held out for you.![]()

OK, someone needs to smack me in the face and wake me up from my over-worked stupor when important things like this happen on BYC!
Oh my gosh. All the baby squee pics are making me WANT cute little fuzzies.... *hides under the covers and keeps repeating "I have a small urban lot" "I have a small urban lot".......

yay!!!!!!!!!!!! fingers crossed that the CLs hatch
up early to check on the incubator: all three swedish crosses are out (two blacks and one splash), and two of the campines, with the third pipping -- and no sign of action with the CLs so far. once that last campine hatches i'll take them out & give the CL eggs some quiet to think about hatching in...
What day is it for the CL Eggs? It might be time to check them.
they were set on 2/11, so today is day 22.
