Quote: Thanks! I am wondering if it is working because they are "mother-daughter". The Cochin is a llittle more aggressive. She actually pecked at me!

On a sadder note, the chick with the eye problem died today. It seems weird that with all the cold wet weather we have had it did fine, but the first nice day we get, it dies. I am wondering if the hens were letting them out from under them a little more because it was warmer. It is probably just as well...I don't think there was an eye on that side, Ron. I think what we were seeing was a pot of black fluff.

I am sorry he did not make it.

The weak Delaware is still making it here--It gained .4 ounce in two days and weighed 1.7 ounces, up from 1.3 ounces. The others are bigger already but it is good that this one is gaining weight.

I think Wolftracks was involved is something like this & I think it was called a chicken train.......I don't know if it is still going or not.
I love the idea of a chicken train. My sister used to be a rep an eye wear line that required her to travel the west Coast. She would have been the perfect chicken train conductor. She now has a child so she switched lines and only travels the Bay Area. ... darn.

It would be great to find a couple of reliable Sales Reps that travel the same territory monthly or bi-monthly. I wonder how we find them?
