I had a young pullet missing all day. Looked EVERYWHERE, even on the neighbors property. No feathers laying around , just nothing.
Then I decided to fill the waterers. I picked up the round bucket. It's only about 3 inches deep, the kind at the stores that come in all sorts of colors.
And there she was. She must have came down on the edge and flipped it over on herself. She was quiet as a mouse the whole time. I looked for hours for her, and just when I gave up is when i found her.

SOOOO EXCITED!! I finally broke down and ordered cream legbar chicks to add to the urban flock! Should be ready in a few weeks, the wait is KILLING me!!!! YAY BLUE EGGS (eventually)!

OK...here is my feeble attempt at chick pictures. My excuse is that I have my 4 year old grandaughter over and need to focus more on her. The chicks are all clustered together. The mostly black one with the blue leg band is the one that hatched from the blue egg. The rest are supposed to be FBCM.

I had a Delaware pullet do that once & it was in a pen with 4 other chickens & it took me awhile to discover her................Silly birds.....LOL
