I may have to get in the bator soon though some are hatching. My plan is to cut small pieces of cloth and damp it in very warm water.
when I grab the chicks put these around the eggs. I will give them till 9 to hatch first. though more keep pipping argh. getting nasty in there even with old pennies.
Make sure the any pips do not get wet. They can die that way.
I fill a spray bottle with water and open the lid, spray once, do my work, spray again and put the lid back on the incubator. during the the big hatch, I had to open the hatcher several times and had 0 shrink wrapped chicks. None of my hatches this year have had shrink wrap problems. That includes incubating in the Genesis.
