California - Northern

For those that asked what I will be selling: 1pr Brown Chinese geese, White Runner ducks, pairs and trio's of LF New Hampshires,..no single females. One Wheaten Ko Shamo bantam pair (very rare and will be APA recognized in April), White Leghorn Bantams and possibly a pair of East Indie ducks.

I'm not placing an ad for a week or so and I hardly ever sell birds. PM me if you have any interest before the ad goes out.

LOL, horse poop does have a "nice" smell:) We just got a horse and my kids saw her poop yesterday at the stables. They are a little bit grossed out by seeing so much poop. Of course, smelly chicken poop doesn't bother them that much.

So, I now own a Silky. I think she's large fowl, smooth feathered, and maybe a black tailed buff. Well, at least her name is Silky:) This is about as close as I will come to owning an actual silky ( no offense to those who own silkies, LOL).

Congrats on the new horse... Nice looking buckskin!

It is time to worm them then.

@casportpony

Kathy has links to using Horse Paste wormers in her signature file. Those are cheap and easy to find at most feed stores.
Bang for the buck, the liquid Safeguard for goats is less expensive per dose, but paste might be easier for some. Either way, I agree, time to worm.

Mine have paired off and seem fine. I thought I would have to eat a drake but all seems well here in duckland. My scovies think they are people or ducks not chicken so no innaproprite loving here so far.
That's good to know--though I wonder what my husband would think of adding another species

Of course, the more non-chickens I get, the less chickens I can have. I think. I may need to check the wording--I don't remember now if it said "birds" or "chickens" specifically in the ordinance...

I think it is chickens.......Oh man...I hope not though! I only have 1/4 acre and already have too many!!!!!

I only have 0.15 acre--I think it's probably for the best that I have a zoning-mandated maximum of "only" 11 birds

Hm. I just discovered that chickens are afraid of banana slugs. Who knew? I thought they'd eat anything.
I don't know--banana slugs can be scary-big!
