Quote: You sure do! I have been waiting to see what colors they are feathering in. Of course, then I will want some! Seramas are super cute too!

Chickee, that is so not fair! Mine up here just look like little brown eggs. They are adorable and I'm so ready to see what comes from these eggs.

I'm looking forward to the fuzzy cheeks on the d'Anvers, the Cleopatra eye strip on the phoenix and the chestnut brown rocks chicks.
You are going to love them. I love how the Phoenix chicks look with the eye stripe! And with those chestnut brown chicks mixed in, oh my, are you going to have a beautiful bunch of chicks!

I can pluck and gut them, but I'm too much of a coward to kill them.

You and me both. I did it once, just to see if I could. The rest of the "processing" doesn't bother me though.

I'm super exited that I think I finally fixed the garden fencing, so the chickens won't be able to get in. After several "chicken-garden-sacrifices" I think we're good. I'd fix all the fencing, plant my baby veggies, then the next day they were gone.

. I replanted again yesterday, and everything is still alive!!! I have tomatoes, peppers, peas, chard, beans, egg plant, potatoes, cucumbers, squash.... After a while the chickens usually give up on trying to get in. For some reason they are super determined this year.

I may use the stick or maybe the pruning shears. We used to use pruning shears growing up and would hang them from an Almond tree.

Those were the days!

They are so little they worry me too until they are much older. They sure are tough little guys as adults though!
