Yep smooth sizzles. One might be a mix its an unusual wing pattern for a sizzle. The black one is handsome if its a her we should henseminate it with on of my sizzle or frilkie boys. I love the shape. You see it best with smooth sizzles.
The top one is one of my favorites. I'm hoping

it's a girl. It's 9 weeks old, and all her feathers look rounded. When she starts laying we can plan the hensemination.

I have another 8 week old that is the same pattern as the chicks on the bottom, except it is frizzled. Is that a Partridge pattern?

This one is my hubby's favorite. I think it has scary eyes though.

Question... Do people mind if you take pictures at these shows?

In my vast experience of 3 shows I didn't run into anyone who didn't want their birds picture taken. The coop cards are vague enough that no one is going to show up at your door without going through the show super. Others may have had a different experience.

Well I used my new Ova scope high intensity candler yesterday for the first "real" time. The eggs had been in since the 20th. In the Mottled Japanese I had 2 clears, 2 clear B/B AMs, 2 clear BCM & 1 with a blood ring & another that didn't look good so I took it out. I don't usually candle at all so I need to look up a site that shows me exactly what to look for at what point. I have mostly been a "Ronco" set it & forget hatcher only watching temps & humidity & turning. I did see some wigglers & was excited about that. I am trying to hold off til the Easter hatch along even though I didn't officially enter. I think I have that made since tomorrow is set day right?
Well I am off to look for a candling site.

1 Blue chick out from a light brown egg plus 1 blue egg and 1 Marans egg pipped! These are another batch of eggs I am hatching for a friend. Today is Day 21 so I am hoping at least more pips by the time I get back from the show. There are a total of 15 eggs still to hatch.

Your can still join the Easter Hatch! Eggs set until Monday count for the totals too.

We need the numbers! Count those eggs!

The best hatch rate contest is closed but all other contests are running.

I forgot I came on to tell this neat idea i heard today!

For chickens who are drinking but mot eating.five them fresh veggie juice! Someone has a duck that ate a string and it is not in her croup and she iant eating. I suggested sugar for calories ams someone said their vet said juice. O thought it was brilliant.
