Today is day 19 on my shipped Serama eggs I was so excited to see a pip but of course it's from one of my own flock's eggs lol come on chicks!!

Every time the wind kicked up the last three weeks I was worried I don't think we have many big trees left to take out the power lines but you never know. .

Fortunatley we have a generator. The incubators/brooders would be the first things to be hooked up if power went out here.

I live in Plumas County in the mountains between Reno, Nv and Chico, CA . I'm willing to travel in either direction a a couple of hours.
I am looking for 6-10 pullets and one Roo. We have a vacation scheduled at the end of May and I want to make it easier on my son who will be staying home. I have 40 acres, about 1/4 acre fenced for chickens with a very nice hen house. Usually the chickens will fly over the fence and free range around. I'm offering a good life!

These ducks are taking forever to hatch they piped yesterday, one has a hole. Sigh come on peeps

I have 42 Runner Duck eggs in on of mine too....I hope they are fast hatchers. What temp/humidity are you using? The Hatch calculator link says 99.5 F and 86% humidity Days 1-25, then 94%. Those humidity numbers seem REALLY high!

WELCOME TO THE THREAD!

Sounds like you probably come to Chico on Hwy-70. I am not too far off your route (I am in Paradise) and may have a couple of hens and maybe some pullets by then. Maybe even a roo depending on what my chicks turn out to be. Are you looking for specific breeds?

I would worry about 94% humidity. That is very high.

Chiqita will know about Serama hatching.
