The Bathroom is not an option LOL...Tom is sweet and likes the birds and all but I think it would be too much to ask him to share the bathroom with a broodyWe did have a bumble footed girl in the bathroom for a couple of days. She hopped on the open toilet to roost and used it for its intended purpose as well. Of course she also pooped everywhere else in there too so she wasn't a prodigy she just had good timing

How about a dog crate?

Chrissyr, just a thought, but you could send two off for necropsy since they now have a limit of two per day and you could do the third yourself maybe?

I have a broody box. A cube about 30 inches per side that I can put her and the eggs in in their own run. The run is predator proof and she will be safe in there.

Hi Kathy,
I only had 1 die, thank The Lord! Maybe I wrote it confusing.
But I would if it came to that. I need to learn how you do yours and what to look for.
I'm a little clueless.
I'm sure you wrote it just fine... Lately I seem to have problems read posts, lol. Anyway, it's a relief to hear that it was just one. One is bad enough, but three, wow, not sure how I could deal with that. I'm no expert at doing necropsies, but each one has taught me a lot. Now that I have processed two for eating, I know what healthy innards are supposed to look like. I'll see what documention i can Find for you. Also have tons of pictures from the ones i've done.
Curiously, did you check inside her vent for an egg?
