That is good news!

and at least one egg under the other broody who's "due" has a pip, too -- yay! now just need to get a FOURTH broody (there are only three nest boxes) to find something else to do while these chicks hatch, so they'll bond to the moms who have been sitting the longest -- have blocked off access to the nest boxes until the eggs hatch.

My new little foster puppy. About 4 months old, Border Collie/Pit Bull mix. Gets along with the chickens better than any dog I've ever fostered. She completely ignores them, and when one of the hens decided to attack her she just backed away crying, poor thing! She's such a good little girl! She needs a loving home ;)

What a cutie, you can clearly see both breeds in her.
