I pulled 5 of the pyncheon eggs this afternoon, no development or early quitters. I left 3 more that I wasn't sure about since I was candling in half light and playing tug of war with a cranky broody. I do have movement in 3.

Can anyone give me some input on oxine?
I looked and seem to only find the dosage for drinking water. I need the dosage for disinfecting stuff
Also, in activated kills germs, viruses and bacteria correct?
I have a pen with no chickens in it right now and was going to activate it . Got most of the shavings out. If I spray with activated oxine, would any shavings left contain hazardous materials? I know unactivated is no problem, just want to be sure about if I activate it.
And I did read about using a respirator

I did find an oxine thread one time. Didn't mark it. I googled how to use oxine and a BYC thread came up

Well, my little Cream Legbar chick named Lady just gave me a major heart attack. I went out to the coop to check on the babies in their pen one last time before bed, and I noticed that Lady was not in the pen. The chicken wire on top of the pen is zip tied to the pen, but I left a small space where I can fold it back to access their food and water. WELL, in that little space the chicken wire was sticking up meaning she could have easily flown out. I looked EVERYWHERE for her. I listened for stressed peeping, nothing. I checked in the coop, under the coop, in the bushes in the chicken yard, all around the chicken yard...she was nowhere to be found.
I walked back to the coop/run to double check for her in there, and a little movement caught my eye. I found her. On top of the door to the chicken run!!! She thought she was going to roost up there for the night like a big girl. All the other hens get to roost up high, so why can't she, right?
Crazy bird. I put her back in the pen and she is going to have to use the branch I put in there as a roost. They don't like it because it's only half a foot off the ground, but it's all I can do for them. They'll get used to it. Tomorrow I need to fix the pen so the babies stop escaping.
I'm still recovering from my mini panic attack! Crazy bird, I love her so much.

Yes, they are crazy flying fools!

If you want them to stay in the pen you made, it needs to have a cover. I have chickens that can get over a 7 foot fence.

No she doesn't have the right comb type, but that doesn't matter because if I do keep her she will be a pet, not for breeding or showing.

I noticed that comb as well. That is the reason for different feathering. The purebreds feather much slower than one with something else in the genetics. I don't know why this is true. Take an Easter egger for example. You could have 100% Orpingtons that feather pretty slowly. Add in Ameraucana and it will feather really fast!

My EE/wyandottes are SUPER fast growing and feathering. They look completely different from my purebreds. The size difference is comparable to your photos. In fact that's the first thing I thought - those chicks look like the (size wise) chicks in my last hatch!

Wow, I found this picture on Google. Nobody ever mentioned that Dark Brahmas are GORGEOUS! Look at how beautiful this bird is!!

I believe I have been known to sing the praises of Dark Brahma's before

Oh, Ron, it does have a cover. I zip tied chicken wire all across the top, a hen could jump on it and not fall through. The problem is I left a little space where I can pull it back to access their food and water, and it keeps leaving a small space where they can escape. I need to fix it tomorrow so it stays down but can still be opened. Not sure how I'll do it but I'll figure something out

Speaking of chickens being good fliers...I accidentally locked them out of the coop one night and found my Splash Andalusian 12 feet up in a tree!
