I have an English Orpington cockerel about 4 months old. He was supposed to be a she. He's a cross between a jubilee and a blue. Genetically predicting, with a jubilee hen, he'll produce 25% jubilee, 25% red columbian, 25% blue columbian, and 25% blue jubilee. I'm in sacramento. I also have some black copper maran pairs for sale!

Hi,
I've Sicilian Buttercup eggs and Rhodebar eggs and just basic blends for sale on Ebay at the moment. How can I delete an old account "DiabloDaRoo" for some reason it comes up when I respond from my cell phone. UGH! lol

How much would you charge for a dozen Sicilian Buttercup eggs if I could pick them up locally? What part of Sac are you in? Feel free to PM me :)

Regarding deleting the other account...I don't think you can, but just go onto your cell phone and log out, then log back in as your main account and that should solve the problem.

I'm with you, I clean and sanitize after every hatch. Then I put a freshly washed shelf liner in the bottom each time. The water I add has a bit of Oxine in it. Can't be too safe from the bacteria.

I had this with my male border collie, Riley. I was painting the room that holds my incubators, so the table was pulled away from the wall. He was circling the room (duh, what else would he be doing............he's a border collie, LOL), anyway he ran along the wall behind the table and the wire from the genesis to the power bar caught on his stifle as he ran by. The incubator hit the floor, all the eggs tumbled from the turner and a few cracked. It wasn't mischief on his part and I love him more than the chickens anyway.

It was my fault for not locking him up while I was working in there. Anyway, the eggs that didn't crack mostly hatched without problem.

I was more upset the time the same exact thing happened with one of my female border collies, Ceilidh. But the wire her leg caught on was attached to my laptop. It hit the tile floor and had to be replaced.

Once again, totally my own fault

Dogs, ya gotta love em!

Ugh both terrible occurrences, but that is awesome that your dog is named Ceilidh. My dad has a Ceilidh!

I am getting old & crouchity (is that even a word)??? I am enjoying NOT having a house dog right now, but you never know when I will cave in & that will change. My husband has his Border Collie out in a large run next to the pasture. He has a house & a water tub & automatic water & feed & my husband takes him out to the pasture all the time. I did just go pick out a new Pug puppy for my husband's birthday & will pick it up in 2 weeks but he will keep it with him out in the barn most of time except for sleeping in our bed all night.
You have to post pug puppy pictures!

So, I hope no one doubted my self-control when I went to pick up the Orpingtons. I did not end up taking home the extra three. Because, uh, she miscounted and didn't have 8 left after all. She had ten. So I made an offer for taking the rest off of her hands. Really, though, it only means I'll probably end up with a trio instead of a pair of BBS. There were also two lavenders, which are super tempting but unless they're both roosters I'm just going to grow them out for my mom because she's been wanting lavender Orpingtons for a long time.

Just got home, feeding the baby and settling the kids then I'll get some pictures of them.

Time for my daily question(s)!
I'm looking at hatching eggs now that I'm getting an incubator. I already have my first hatch planned(1 dozen Silver Penciled Rocks & 1 dozen TJ's eggs) but it's fun to think of what kind of eggs I could get shipped to me, even if it does mean a lower hatch rate.
So my question is, what color are the Silkies that would hatch from these eggs? Read the description. It confuses me...maybe I'm just stupid.

I suppose when I sign her up for something (vet, training, etc.), I should spell it Kaylee, but it is her registered name. Anyone that looks at it stares a minute, then stutters a bit, then stumbles over..........uhhhhhhh.......... "Seal-da"?

Then I have to explain the Celtic meaning and they always end up gushing over what a cool name it is.
