California - Northern

When I called the lab, the California Animal Health & Food Safety Lab(is this part of UC Davis? So I can still use the FedEx account number with them?) they said that on their website they have shipping instructions for sending in samples, however I have searched the website and have not found it. You wouldn't happen to know where that section of their website is, would you?

Hope all goes well with Splash and her blood tests. Hang in there!!

Thanks. I am hoping the test for MG comes back negative, and I hope Splash makes it until then. I think she will, she's still acting pretty normal and laid an egg this morning. She just needs to make it until Monday afternoon then I can begin treating her.

Answering a couple of questions.

CAHFS is a State Grant program that is Administered and housed at UCD.
When you use the UCD Fedex number you get the UCD "I am a big shipper" discount. It is a big discount so you would be silly not to use it.

Thank you very much. How do they bill me? Do they send a bill to the address that I put on the submission form? They also say they require payment up front for a first time customer, do I just send $2 in the package with the blood sample?

I'm glad to be done buying crickets. The legs creep me out! Grasshoppers are just a bad. I would always have a few get loose and drive me nuts, the dogs had fun chasing them around.
Crickets.......Ahhhhhh...I haven't heard crickets in a long time. Of course the older I get the more deaf I get.....LOL I use to love to lay in bed at night with the windows open & listen to them. Funny the things you forget as time goes by.

I got a phony cashiers check today for the amount of 710 bucks over a $35 hen purchase that was supposedly to be picked up from my house once the check clears. Just wondering if anyone else got one? Maybe we can compare cashier checks.
Somebody else was talking about this too but I can't remember who.

UofA chick pic today

I introduced them to meal worms today too. Boy they were all over those! Mama shared very sweetly. I love it when the little ones play tug-of-war with them.
So cute Lisa. I am so glad you are getting so much enjoyment out of all this. So much fun................

I candled my turkey eggs today.
Of 8, 7 are fertile & developing. Unfortunately, 1 was crushed. The last one is clear but I left it anyway.
So in 2-1/2 weeks we'll see if I get 6 standard bronze poults. Fun!
Are these eggs you took home from the party?? I never even got over to see all those eggs. There were a ton of them huh?.......Like I need more hatching eggs.......LOL

I'm in Sacramento. Isn't that North?

............As I have told several new people to this board it is more a state of mind than a geographical place.

Call them up and ask for details. They will bill you for the shipping. It would be best to pay them for the lab test part though.
