Great videos! Thanks for posting them

Aww...how cute that must be!

Of course! I have not had silkies before and never even knew show girls existed until joined this thread. It will be very interesting to see it grow up.

Show girls, unless they are one of the special ones from chiqita that wind up being feather sexable, are tough to figure out. They are ugly cute though.

Here's the ugly/cuteness I was referring to earlier - this is one with no "bow-tie" (patch of fluff just above crop):

A roo, right?

I have let the Tolbunt Polish from @debs_flock out with the rest of the flock & they have really come out of their shell.
They've gone from flighty & shy to curious & bold - so fun!

Please excuse my mediocre cell pix & my Saipan tail photobomb.

Oh my! Please don't mind me laughing at their cuteness! They are very distinct chicks! I have never seen a breed like that. Where did you get them?

It is from Chiquita....what's this about feather sexing?

Iggie makes babies that are sex linked. Boys have hard feathers and girls have soft feathers.

Iggie makes amazing babies! Or now it may be Iggies Son?

Yes, that should be a rooster if it is from Iggies line. There are hard wing feathers? Then yes!

Very Ugly Cute!

How old do theynhave to be to tell? Is it as soon as the wing feathers start to grow?

Yes, when the feathers start growing out. One to two weeks old usually. Confirmed when they are older but almost always correct.
