Yeah!! First Egg

Suspect its Lurk who laid it because she was the one who was first to squat.
Here it is next to a store bought large egg. Its small but i understand they get bigger over time.

I'm so excited as a reward they got some older cantaloupe squares and the seeds from a new one I just cut up from my garden.

I also cleaned out the run and under the coop and put sand down under the coop so I can wet it down tomorrow.

Its going to be hot today so Ill have some ice bags out today too.

Looks like I may have a home for 2 of my foster buffs.

Looking like a great day.

The egg will get bigger through each laying cycle. Are you going to blow out the egg and save it?

There's nothing like that first egg!!!

Ronott1, do you ever sell at the Orangevale small animal exchange?
I have not been out there this year. Last year I had high hopes for selling Bresse there. No one was interested so they went to the Auction the next day.

Do you go there?

Here are my olive Egger chicks. They are predominately white but have tiny flecks

of splash. The older one is a three-month-old in the grow up in same parents
Wow...that one looks like it is built like Cornish X. What breeds are in there?

My kitty is still missing. 8 years with him and now he's just vanished. We have been trying to figure out how he got out, and can't. He was seen at dinner, and by dinner time all doors were closed and locked. The next morning, he was gone. We thought maybe someone came in the house and took him, but that's not possible because all the doors were locked. How does a cat just vanish from a locked house, and how does just his collar appear three streets down? I don't understand it. I'm so torn up, I need a new dog to foster to keep my mind off this but I may not be able to foster the dog I want to.

On a chicken-related note, can you guys post pictures of your adult Pita Pintas? I've seen baby pictures but would like to see what your adult stock looks like.
So sorry to hear she has not come back.

Fingers crossed she will find her way home yet!

He was over 8 pounds last time I weighed him but that was several months ago. I should weigh him again since he is close to a year old now.

Yes, you should get some pita Pintas!
