She may still go back. I don't usually move mine until they have been broody about 2 weeks. Then they go into the nest area of the broody coop where it is nice and dark.

Anyone interested in UofA Blue cockerels?
They have found their voices & my husband is NOT amused. :)

I have 1 blue & 3 splash

I'm asking $20 each. PM me if interested. Thanks!
I have hens too if you want a pair (blue & black only, no splash).

They are just under 12 weeks old.
I have 1 black hen & 2 blue hens available. They are not squatting yet but I wonder if it will be soon, judging by the boys' behavior

I'm asking $30 per hen but I was hoping to pair them off with boys.
Let me see what happens through the weekend.
If I decide to sell the girls, I'll PM you.

Thought of you guys and gals in the really hot areas of CA when I saw this post from:

DW decided we had to do something about the weather. A normal summer in Kansas is full of 100 + degree days, except this year, and as I type it got up to a whopping 82 today. But never mind that, she had to do something to keep the birdies cool. That red hot Kansas sun combined with the wind from Oklahoma (Oklahoma blows), really takes it out of ya and the birds really suffer.

Soooo, like a good hubby I get all the materials to make a misting system for the bird pens and this is what I came up with.

The half inch PVC pipe runs below the roof and above the roost.

There is a mister every six foot, two per pen 12 foot wide pen.

Mister in action.

I guess I an start on the new pens now...

Some pea people take their enclosures very seriously:

Hi all
I think the minimum size for a breeding pair peacocks should be not less than under 80 square meters. Everything else is not fair housing and would have to be banned. Our breeding pairs peacocks whether blue or green sitting in aviaries from 120 to 150 square meter size.
When I not have the area to keep a horse then I only can keep a rabbit.
