California - Northern

Wow that's awesome! The floors look great!

They are doing well, I think they had their first molt but they didn't lose as many feathers as I thought they would. We are still working on getting their new coop built at their new home. No, she didn't. Joe's grandma kept taking her and Honey's eggs away until they gave up. Really agitated me as I wanted her to be a mom.
Thanks

Glad your chickens are doing well. Poor Ellie, maybe next year.

Anyone here raise meat birds(Cornish Cross) during the winter? Would it be too cold here in Nor Cal to raise them during the winter? I definitely do NOT want to keep them in a brooder in the garage for longer than people normally do.
My brother raises them year round in Grass Valley. He supplies some of the local markets.

My guess with the majority of the wingtips flaring like that, you have a frizzle.
Neat colors on that chicks. What do you anticipate that adult plumage to look like?
Is it a polish?
Ah, the quote only reposted BCollie's picture, which is of a Tolbunt Polish Frizzle chick (I love the colors of them as well, but prefer the smooth ones).

This is the chick I was asking about:

I would guess yes for a frizzle/sizzle (based on my 2 batches this year). How old is this one?

9 or 10 days old. Hmm... not a fan of frizzle/sizzle genes. May have to surprise my niece who's been begging her mom for some.

Curly Sue says you're crazy, that she and her frizzleness are the best! :D
Of course, she can't very well see who she's talking to because of her crazy curly afro
It's part of her charm. Haha!
