Thank you so much, the corrections I'm going to make is relocating the incubator to a climate control environment, if this doesn't work I'm a summing the incubator is defective? What are your thoughts?

Those incubators are just not very accurate. As your outside temps change, the inside ones change, so at this time of year when your room gets cold at night and warmer in the day, it will swing. Try to put it in a palce with the most stable temps possible.

So for those of us without AC/heat that maintains a steady temp in the house, would the colder but more temp stable basement be a better place for an incubator?
I use a big closet with an electric heater. The heater has a thermostat so it keeps the closet at a steady temperature.

central AC/heat can be a problem because it blows air on the incubator if it is under a vent. The incubator should also be in a place where it will not get jarred or shaken--not on top of a dresser or kitchen table.

Also, not in direct sunlight too.

Welcome Mike, I've used a still air LG for hatching but have the benefit of central heat/air. My hatch rate is not great but eggs have a hard time when shipped into Oregon.

There are so many excellent hatchers here you'll be swimming in chicks soon.
