Chicks are so much easier!!!

Love!!! So adorable! What is it?

They have given up on setting early a couple of times, kicked the eggs out of the nest box, crushed the babies while sitting in the nest at night, and I went out once to find Dad standing on the 11 day old babies neck. They are supposed to be good parents and this pair was said to be a proven pair but they have me pulling my hair out! This time around I put a blown out bantam egg in the nest with the baby to keep they from settling down and crushing it.

Wow. Well good luck! I want some... Maybe one day :) Thanks for sharing!

When parlour rollers are judged the judge will roll them first, if they fly they are DQ'd. That is what makes them a great first bird for the kids, if they get loose they can  be caught again. Another reason we got them is we have so many hawks around and we don't feel guilty for not allowing them to free fly. We have been offered lots of homers & racers but they wouldn't last long here.
