I have only processed one I bought/hatched specifically for that purpose. I am not sure I could do it with the layers. No problem processing the quail either

I take the screws out of my 1588s when I clean them too. They get a lot of dander up under the fan and even between the LCD display and the printed area on the plastic, but it is very easy to remove those, clean and put them back

But the 2 year warranty only applies of you registered it when you bought it.. Otherwise it is much shorter

I have only processed one I bought/hatched specifically for that purpose. I am not sure I could do it with the layers. No problem processing the quail either

There are a lot more screws in the brinsea.

It is easy to register the brinsea on their website. It is well worth the effort considering the cost of the cradle motor.

I will be processing three more this weekend. I am starting to get a lot in the freezer and the all taste really good!

The Pita Pinta eggs I got from you go into lockdown on Sunday. I will candle them then. I checked them about a week ago and they all looked good....

I have more processing to do this weekend too. I sent my daughter home with 2 big fat ones this afternoon. I hope I have room in the freezer for the 11 left to process. They are huge and taking up a lot more space than the ones last year.

I'm a native NorCal, recently in SoCal, and now in the SF Bay Area working up to a move further North.
Thank you so much in advance for a bit of advice that can help me figure out where to land!

Can any of you tell me about your experiences with ordinances relating to chickens/roosters in Sonoma and Mendocino Counties?
I actually have a peacock, not chickens, and I'm assuming that "no roosters" = "no peacocks" (noise-related issues).
I do see that Sonoma says "no roosters," and Mendocino has a provision about not engaging "in any conduct which would constitute public nuisance."
But I wonder what really happens, are there exemptions, does it depend on your neighbors, etc...

Of course, I don't want my boy to be a bother to anyone, so I'm just trying to avoid troubles down the road!

Look for a place in the County zoned for Ag. Usually it is A1 or something similar. I do not think any city will allow Pea fowl. Somewhere over there in that area they do have rules in the County about the number of Cockerels or cock birds you can have--not noise but "sport" related.(We cannot post about that sport here).
