California - Northern

Here is a pic of our favorite young bird this year. This is Mr. Truffles a bantam mottled cochin we hatched from eggs from Dyann. He is crowing but it is high pitched and not very loud so hopefully my husband won't notice! Monet loves him and we are planning on getting some girls for him!

Garsh, he's so pretty! I can see why he's loved

Thank you! He was crowing up a storm this morning but it was high pitched and not too loud. He is the first bantam chicken that we have had and I'm hoping that we can keep him here in town.

I just got my first bantams yesterday and boy are they small. I picked up the oegb cross and two chicks from @SilkiesForEver, thank you so much by the way they are great.

It was very nice to meet you.

I am interested in Pene. Probably will wait til Spring, the fall is just to busy with to many other things for me. Any pictures by chance? Dont know that they are as rare as you claim, a few members in this thread have them as well.

oh they are very rare

I'd say most of them in the US are in California. Between the pintas and the pens we are the US capital of Spanish chickens.
Yes, there are a lot of them here. @Hangtown Farms has a bunch. Jason had Black, Crele, Partridge and Empordanesa.

I hope he still has them!

Not that they are not rare. You just are in the heart of Spanish chickens country. All my french chickens are jealous!
