They are hoping the fires up here will be out in November. They say about 50% containment on most. We got smoke from both directions! The lower layer was from the CA fires, the upper layer was the Stout fire and others. We have had worse smoke, a couple of years ago we couldn't see the next stoplight going through town. We have cleared up thankfully, rain helped a lot!
We went camping on the coast last week and couldn't have a fire in the fire ring at the campground. We had to scour Gold Beach for an enclosed grill to cook on, we had briquets but couldn't light them in the fire ring. The fog was so thick we were not sure if it was raining or just Fog unless you looked at the drip pattern on the ground.
We never got to see the sunset at Sunset Bay.
