Yay! Its fun!
They were my gateway to being able to not only not get grossed out by maggots, but now I can gather then when I find them, thinking what wonderful goodies they are for the flock.

I'm really excited because they REALLY liked them...

well I love getting worms for them out of the ground but they didn't get as excited as they did with the mealworms. .

Same here.
Mealworms are the best for taming skeptical birds too. If you put the worms in the same color container each time, your flock figures it out pretty darn quickly.

you know, today I gave them the worms and most of them never left me, they wanted up on my lap... the one hen that I think will lay first even let me pick her, I think she squatted! So maybe I'll get an egg soon... Yippee!

Today while I was out with the hens, two of them had a fight, wow, their hackles were up and all...loud noises and all.. I've never heard or seen them fight like that ...
