Just moved from Arcata, down to Citrus Heights. I'm new as a bird owner, but I have 4 Pharaoh quail.
It is great to have you posting here!
Are you going to get other poultry too?

Thank you, and eventually we will once we're out of our apartment, and on some decent land. For now I've built a 5'/2' cage, and I've drawn up plans for stackable cages so I can get more quail.View attachment 1137935

Quail at an apartment! I love it!
We need pictures please
Is she eating and drinking?View attachment 1138573 here's my injured girl I have in isolation. She flew out yesterday and landed next to a cat
Oh yea, she's eating her crumble, and her fruit, and she's drinking plenty of water. She's also still trying to escape, so I take that as a good sign. She has a bad limp on 1 leg, and a bad wing, but it doesn't feel like there's any broken bones, so I'm just isolating her and seeing what happens. Is she eating and drinking?
Sounds like fun!Leg mites love little quail legs. I'm still treating mine after fair.
My Crested Italian is the Houdini here. I make sure the door is closed before checking food and water, about as easy to catch and hold as a greased marble.
I can easily see quail in an apartment, quieter than a parrot.
