California - Northern

I have been in the Northridge earthquake back in the 80s 90's. I saw everything shake so hard, unfortunately I was on the can at the moment and wasn't able to get to a safe spot. So dying on the toilet crossed my mind, LOL.
Too funny!

Living in Woodland, I have only felt a couple of earthquakes and not very much. I was driving back from Costco during this one but my Oldest Daughter felt it. She said it lasted about a minute.

Driving during an earthquake should have felt like you had 4 flat tires.
I usually don't notice anything below 4.0 quakes.
Woodland is quite a distance from the epicenter so it was likely not a 4 here.

You never know though! We could get one strong enough in Napa to cause damage here.

Hi everyone! I found this thread and decided to follow along :)
I live in Sacramento and have a mixed flock of 17
Hoping everybody’s flocks are doing okay with the nasty heatwave we’ve had the last few days!!
My 4 are doing well so far!

One more day for this heat wave. I hope the next one is not as hot though

I have ducks so they just float around in their pools, and I most them with the hose. I am not sure how well I am doing in this heat. I am an electrician, so I find myself working out in the heat most days.

Wow! You are down to 4. I thought you had quite a few birds.

I am up to about 75 chickens, 8 Bobwhite Quail, 18 Valley Quail, 20 Chuckar, 11 Ring Neck Pheasants, 11 Golden Pheasants, and 4 Snowflake Bobwhite Quail. I also have more Chukar and Bobwhite eggs in the incubator.

I moved out into the country last August and am loving it.

I also have a huge garden.
