Love the pictures!! You are a good photographer! I really enjoy seeing the Turkeys around here. My favorite though is seeing the Bobcats now that they can't get into my chicken yard

It was a little scary when we saw a Mountain Lion down at our creek with a baby! I didn't walk our property for awhile after that

Wild turkeys in our backyard. I lost count around 26. :)

can you see my kitty? ;)

I have eggs in my incubators!

A new one to me are Pita Pintas. I also have EO Basque and Partridge Pendesencas in there.

I was worried that I would not be able to tell the chiks apart until I found a picture of Pita Pinta chicks:

Please help us decide a lay box/roost orientation. Pleaseeeee....oh my coop is 8x8. I think I like the first idea better. Seems simpler and less work. Would it bother the hens to have the roosting shelf above them though?

Wow! What a lot of work you've done! Looking great! Personally, I like the top configuration because it looks simpler to build, and the roosts are at the same level, so less squabbling. You could add a broody box along another side, but then would have to deal with chickens trying to roost on it. Maybe a storage cabinet on top?

The turkey pics? I'm a photographer by day and I shoot with a Nikon D700. Thanks!
ahhh! that makes sense. Those turkeys are gorgeous. I just put some turkey eggs in the bator, I'm wondering if ill get more turkey visitors once they are out!
