Great looking Flock you have!

It was much nicer today. There was moisture on the cement this morning and it was so much cooler. I still had the mister on. They seem to really like it. No panting today for them!

Ron
Oh my gosh I totally forgot to close their run door and turn their misters off last night. I felt so horrible this morning. The chickens however were very very happy about both things. LOL They do love the mister- so glad we put one in!

Fantastic photos. love them!

ditto here! you're making me think i should perhaps get my good digital camera back from my mom, as snapping busy pullets with film (my usual approach these days) can be tricky -- but here's a polaroid taken last thursday of Lucy the Delaware, now 8 weeks old, diligently looking after the younger/smaller Daisy, an australorp who's adult head feathers don't seem to have grown in yet...

will be picking up two silver penciled plymouth rocks from Cheryl today, can't wait!
best,
laura

Wow that was a close call! I can't believe how near you were to it. Poor firefighters. I couldn't imagine wearing such heavy equipment during these hot days! I'm glad you guys are all safe!

This weather needs to make up it's mind! Thunder and lightning still scares me, even as an adult.

OMG what kind of tourists do you get?! LOL

Good luck at your show next weekend!

Yuck! Speaking of meth, I just finished the show Breaking Bad on Netflix. Very interesting show!
I get tourists that come up to use at our gate and say, "Are you the vet?".

"How do we get to the beach?"

"Are the people here homeless or do they just dress like this?"

I heard in the news once a tourist had to... go... in some Poison oak.

I live near a public center where parties are held and the fire department is. (How convenient!) And there was a huge party that lasted till 3:00am and that morning I went outside to check on my chicks that hatched the DAY BEFORE. (And were closest to the noise) And one drunk guy heard the roosters crowing and said, "Oh that's a rooster, I thought it was some kind of animal!"

Then I found a beer bottle next to my chickens coop, then another beer bottle at the second coop. Guess they didn't like the roosters!

this is one of my pretty little BO pullets. 7 weeks old now I think? Or 8? lol

random shot of my daughter and one of my goslings- Chuck.

My big girls- I think they are over 4 months old- although I am not totally sure of their age. Not quite to the point of laying.

I took some more but these are my faves from today. :) Hope everyone is well!
