all your pictures, zoowee!
i seriously love orpingtons. i would love to have some patterned ones now too!
We love our Buffy, too. She is indeed the sweetest, softest hen...almost a year old, now. The only problem is that she's broody for the 3rd time this summer! She did have the honor of sitting on and hatching eggs and raising a few chicks, but I just can't let her stay broody in that hot coop! We don't have roosters so I would have to buy her more eggs too -which I don't want to do. I scoop her out of the nestbox and try to reason with her to just lay her cute little pink egg and we'll all be fine.....But no, she keeps just sitting in the nestbox and getting that zombie-chicken trance! Poor thing! I finally put her in a cage with food and water to try to break her broodiness. I feel SO mean, but don't know what else to do. Good luck with your BO's. It will be interesting to see if they all are the broody types or if it varies between chickens.![]()
Look at my poor little turkey looking Orpington...hehe. Awwww, too cute.![]()

Looks like my old cat, Henry! You are very fortunate to have a good mouser. I've heard that their scent alone can help to keep rats and mice away from the coops!![]()
Our mouser Odie.He will sleep among the chickens and ducks and geese. But show him a mouse or lizard and he is all over that dinner!
Ok all done sharing! Sorry for clogging up the thread!
