OMG!!! I was out doing chores this morning. and hubby said last week he heard a baby chirp. i couldn't find one under 2 moms that are nesting. so then monday when doing chores 2 moms and 1 baby come out and feed. so they are fine, i got the I told you so... so then today doing chores 2 moms and now 2 babies come out and feed. i was so happy. they are farm chicks. mix and this and that. but just to have new chicks around I love. so fun having babies in the front yard. Tina :)

So exciting. I love watching Broodys with there babies... Fun Fun :)

A personal favorite... blue partridge brahma cockerel and pullet - 5 weeks

Those are beautiful spotted chickens. Even ones with feathered feet.

It is funny how easily excited I can get sometimes. I have been finding an egg or two early in the morning, so I checked the coop and nest boxes when I locked the layers up this evening. I checked for eggs at 5:15 today and I had gotten them all earlier. None then. I shined a lantern into a nest box and sitting right there was an egg from my Blue Marans!

What a big smile that gave me. She layed it after 5pm today! Silly chicken....

I'd be interested in helping with the Tolbunt. Was considering getting some from you to raise with my new hatch but don't have time do drive that far right now.
 
i took 2-week-old photos of all 6 of my chicks yesterday, and am increasingly convinced that at least three of them are boys, possibly four. tsk.

but here's another random picture to share, NOT of the chicks, mostly so Cheryl can see how her silver pencilled rocks are doing (great!):

Lol that cracks me up. where does everyone get all the cool little characters My selection is much more limited.
