Welcome to the thread! A lot of cities in Alemeda County have licences for chickens, like dogs and cats. Some people say its a hassle, some say it was no problem, I think it depends on the city. I haven't heard anyone complain it was a PITA in Freemont, but I know people in Milipedis try and avoid it. good luck with your permit.

Okay, I'm still sorting (and shrinking) pictures, I took lots of pictures yesterday. I think I uploaded 308 pictures trying to get someone to stand still.

Here is my Iowa Blue boy. I hatched three IB chicks yesterday, I'm hoping I finally get a girl for him.

lol maybe... limited on runs though. I can add more of what I already have but nothing new yet.
Besides... I only have Crele Penedesenca.
I am waiting on my black penedesenca from Sand Hill
plus wheaten and partridge penedesenca

I do need more Icelandic hens though (

We will see how ours goes.
The permit seems expensive than the eggs. Too bad the birds are also raised as pets.
