HI All!

I had a good time at the Heritage festival Heirloom Exposition. It was great seeing folks from BYC there. I went with my Oldest DD and we kind of got lost looking at the other exhibits.

Thanks to Chiquita for the hatching eggs! I am looking forward to seeing what they turn out to be. Always fun to hatch little chicks.

I have lots of pictures to share so will break them up. First the Poultry.

More to come.....

Nice pics, wish I could have made it!

Hey all, haven't been on here in days as so much happening at home. My golden retriever gave birth to 8 puppies yesterday and 2 stillborn for 10 total. long day!

Awe, what a sweetie....poor thing looks exhausted! Is this your first litter? I've bred Cocker Spaniels for 30 years, if you have any questions, I'd love to help.
Thank you for taking the time in all of this excitement to schedule getting the chicks to me this morning. I hope your wife wasn't late for work.

i was only at the Heirloom Expo for about an hour (4-5pm-ish), but had a great time checking out the chicklets and a *wonderful* meet-and-chat with my neighbor Lynda (wishing4wings) -- and the bunnies were SO adorable!!

no photos, and sorry to miss meeting the rest of you!

Ron, did you get any pic's of your Partridge Penedesenca chicks?

see any penedesenca at the show? expo? exposition?

I did not see any. No Basque either.

I will get pictures of the Partridge Penedesenca chicks tomorrow.

The National Heirloom Exposition still has two more days to go!

There is always next year too.

There were other things besides Animals there. There were cute redwood chicken coops. There was even a thing called a mud hut that you could use in the backyard for naps. I was trying to figure out how to use it for a chicken coop....

Some Veggie pictures:

I hope you enjoyed the pictures!

Hi Everyone!
I'm new to this thread as a poster but I've been thoroughly enjoying reading everyone's posts. I attended the Heirloom Expo today and had a really good time, I don't have any chickens at the moment, still in the planning phase, aiming for chicks in the spring. So hard not to go home with any animals today though! I wish I could've spent longer but I probably would've spent a lot of money! I think it was a good intro for my boyfriend to poultry and livestock. He got to see one of the phoenix roosters up close(and appreciate its long tail feathers) when a judge took him out of his cage. I loved seeing all the different breeds of chickens live and up close. I've been doing a lot of reading on raising chickens since this will be my first time having chickens, so much to learn. Hope everyone had a good day!

By the way, I love all the photos everyone posts of their flocks on here, all the birds are so beautiful, very jealous :)
