If I crossed a Buff Orp hen with a Chocolate Orp rooster...what would I get? Would the offspring coloring be a rich Buff or diluted chocolate? Do Chocolate Orp hens lay the same color/hue eggs as Buff Orp hens? Trying to see if I could just keep a Chocolate Orp roo and one or a couple Choc Orp hens (they is pricey!) and be able to tell from the egg appearance if it came from one of my Buffs or from a Chocolate hen.

I have a question about listing my rooster on CL- how much should I ask for him? I know roosters are usually practically given away but I am really hoping a 4-Her will snap him up. Or someone who knows their stuff. As an unsexed chick he was $18. LOL I know I will not get out of him what I put into him- but selling him for $15 feels like I am underselling him a little bit. He is pure stock, 20 weeks old, feathery feet and is a French Black Copper Marans - not a hatchery chicken. I am working on my add right now. Thanks for your help!

Oh my gosh seriously. How do you all do this? I am having anxiety at the thought of selling Samson! ahhhhhhhhhhhhh I cannot seem to hit the final buttons in CL. I have him priced at $20. ahhhh

Okay, I figured out how to use my mac. He arrived at 6 am this morning.

This boy is a 26 week old Sulmtaler rooster I bought from Widget Creek Farm http://www.widgetcreekranch.com/. I already have two pullets so I am thrilled to finally have a boy.

Hi is great looking!

Check to see if the white fluffy feathers at his saddle are bad with this breed.

I do not know if this is passed on easily or could be bread out easily.

I am so happy that he made it ok from the Post Office

As I remember, you click a button and upload the pictures from your computer.

It's been a couple of months since I place and ad. I may need to post one soon.

Bye,

Free Swedish Roo for the taking. He is a punk and if no takers he may be the first one of my chickens I actually eat. Darn he is pretty. I'd keep him if he wasn't such a jerk.

Free Super adorable Black Mollted D'uccle roo, 14 weeks. I bought eggs from a breeder on Ebay. He is supposed to be from SQ parents. He is the only egg that hatched. Free for the taking. Very sweet boy that deserves a mini flock of his own.

Those roos are adorable! I'd take them but I dont' need another punk roo or a little guy.

I set up a pallet pen in the barn so I can start introducing the different levels of birds I have so I can finally have ONE flock.

They are all 6 months and under so it shouldn't be too difficult. The babies will still be in there wire pen for a while until the "dog kennel birds" are let out of their pallet pen to integrate into the flock. When I let them out, I'll let the babies out into the pen. That wire cage is bigger than it looks, for some reason it looks tiny in this photo.
