Very cute chicks Kelly. I miss having chicks

I had to shut off my incubators for my vacation. I LOVE the anticipation of hatching eggs. We moved the oldest "chicks" out of one of the brooders a few minutes ago, out into the indoor shed grow out pen. They looked like half grown chickens! Bunch of free loaders, should have been outside weeks ago. Tomorrow the youngest brooder moves and I'll be all ready to greet LOTS of new babies.

Although, I'm firing one incubator back up later today, this morning I got 15 partridge silkie eggs in the mail from the swap thread. And there's 4 more dozen eggs on their way within the next week.

And for a little instant gratification, I'm setting a bunch of coturnix eggs tomorrow.

Mike or Jeff?
I know Jeff sells eggs for hatching. I know we have lurkers and was hoping some of those also might have extras. :D It's the least I can do after horrifying her with that video. She knew it was but- but like me...until you see it - it's not quite all the way real I think.

Join BYC and come have fun with us learning about poultry!

If I were closer, I could sell a couple of dozen a week or so.

Bye,

Yes please, lurkey loos, come on out! We really would love to hear from you! We have people who know their stuff and people like me absorbing all I can from them. haha! Come say hi! you can never have too many chicken (or other birds!) friends!

I must be crazy. I just filled out an app with the Doberman Rescue. I want to add on doggy #2. :D I'm a 'pull the band-aide of all at once time kinda' girl when it comes to most things. That's why I did ducks, geese and chickens all at once having no experience with any of it. haha! Then enjoy the fruits of my hard work and stress once the dust settles.

That is why I use about!

Research shows that math problems can give you a headache.
LOL!!!! And here I thought it was the 2 yr old and 4 yr old giving me a headache! The little one is down for her nap and Grandma had her rest on the couch! Hopefully, I'll survive until Mommy picks them up some time after 6.

The lone Wellie that somehow jumped into the bator. And it looks like a boy.

Love the markings on this barnevelder:

I'm thinking cockerel here - look at that attitude!
