Working on the coop some more. I just take progress pics for posterity. This is our first built structure in our whole married lives. LOL We have been married for almost 17 years so...wow we are later bloomers! haha I am SO excited to get in this though. We are digging post holes to sink. We are raising the floor so it is up off the ground by about a foot I wanna say? I am not sure we will have time to paint before the rains come in again. I wonder if this will hurt the wood? Has anyone painted the inside of a coop before? Does it seem to make it easier to clean inside?

Our coop will be a 10x10. Not big but still bigger than the current 8x8. :D

10x10 is a good size coop. what about a natural stain in the coop? Non toxic and less likely to peel.

( sorry this was supposed to quote wait)
oh no! :(.
She was good yesterday. I had been watching them closely becuse they were loud. Is she warm? I noticed those girls seemed to be more sensitive to heat. As they seemed to want to stay in the warmer spots. I'm sorry shes not doing well .

She has been staying directly under the heat while the others have been huddling together in the corner. I just went in to check on her and she is standing upright, looks as if she may have gotten a bite to eat. Have my fingers crossed. Maybe the move just tired her out???

Not the best photo, I will post more when the DH finishes studying for chemistry. The one in question is not in this photo.

They all sleep like they are dead. I still have a pullet called plank because she held her legs out still while sleeping was very stressful.
