I'll post a pic of my tiny girl when she gets more settled in and will strut her stuff. Right now she's too new, and her pics wouldn't do justice to her breeder

Glad you joined 4H Jake! I wonder if you'll have to compete with Jessica now? Watch out... !! She may be small, but she's a smart cookie!

This bird almost seems to have the barring restricted to a birchen base( E^R/E^R ) , instead of a self black base( E/E). But the barring is mostly in the sex feathers and less in the tail/breast parts of the bird.

I marked all of my current upcoming chicks today, So now i can take zip ties off. These little guys are really growing it is very exciting.. I love the bronze colors that i am getting as chicks, watching them develop is even more cool!!! I am definetly hitting the show in Feb in arizona, CHICKEN ROAD TRIP!! I now have boxes to carry 8 sermas thanks to Jake and some dude in tenessee!! I am sure i will be showing at least 8 birds. People we need to bring as many birds as possible to the show in arizona june 1 We need a good turn out to have the semi nationals here again!!

I'm up for a road trip. We'll see how my birds look at that point. I can certainly just be a helper if not an exhibitor.

I had better just pack up and go to the beach today. I just don't like leaving when its hot out, I worry about my birds overheating outside. Isn't it supposed to cool down a bit this weekend?

Maybe I'll go pick some more fruit and make more jam....LOL. It keeps me busy, and I have a ton of ripe fruit. I just finished a batch of Honey Apricot Jam a few minutes ago, and I have a bunch of ripe plums and peaches waiting. Guess what I'll be donating to the next raffle!!!

RIght on!! Ok Chaili you let me know and i can drop my incubater off with you!!! What i do lock down day is pick up the eggs one at a time and tap i twith my nail near my ear if i hear chirping i put it on one side of the incubater, if i dont i put it on the other!! then i close the incubater and bump up the humidity a bit!!

There ya go woman!!! bump up the humidity about 5 degrees if you feel comfortable doing so, At this point they will start pipping and it will be easier for them to get out of the shell with the higher humidity, not insanely high dont know what you have it at right now, but 5 degrees is all you need above where it was if you see no pipping with in 6 hrs bring it up a bit more!! this is a safe easy way to make sure you get something!! GOOD luck!!
