You are welcome to stop by my place for a visit any time. Costa Mesa Bird Mart sound fun, let me see if I can free myself up for this event. What kind of bird do they sale there???? I did not know you own birds other then chicken, I use to own Chattering Lory and Black Capped lory. I will PM you my contact info later...

I went when it was in Pamona and there was so many different types of birds I couldn't really tell you... from little finches to enormous hookbills and everything in between. There were even a little bit of poultry and gamebird chicks and some bunnies and other random pets. It was fun. Last time I bought some decent size cages for $10 each, watched presentations and just stared in awe at all the starlings and mynahs and unique/rare birds around - some almost as big as me. I don't know if they put on as good of a thing there in OC but it's sure worth checking out.
I wish I had a Lory

I KNOW THIS IS OFF TOPIC BUT HERE GOES, TO ALL MY SERAMA FRIENDS; A gal from Lakewood Ohio is fighting the good fight to get a pilot program going to allow a maximum of 6 hens per property in her city. The City Hall is sayin; smelly, dirty, lower property values.....that sort of ignorant stuff. She would like to be able to show pictures of peoples backyard coops/runs. If you guys would be so kind as to forward any info to her, you would really be a good egg.

The BYC member asking for help is; Tootie23
And this is the article from their local paper

bad news people...

i think i'm going to get rid of all my shamo, and get me some seramas...

yeah i know, i know...

although, project blue laced red shamo would've been a great challenge, they're just not a breed for me... they're mean, eat a ton, poop a lot, and need a lot of room... i didn't think about how many i was going to end up with... so if anyone wants any project shamos... btw... if anyone wants any shamo, i have some for trade/sale... also, i have a BLR adult hen and her BLR son... so i was like, almost there... just had to work on leg color...

i think i'm just gonna keep a hen or two... they are sweet and lay huge eggs...

so anyways... i'm gonna make the shamo pen that's been in production into serama heaven... i need to get me some hens and maybe another roo or so... i was even thinking about getting some eggs from an auction or even... sigh... eBay... just to see if i get any typey birds out of them... if not, gonna try to get some shipped...

so yeah... i got a young pair from dennis lee's line... i'm gonna get some hopefully soon from my neighbor's line... he has some from joey and kate... or i wonder if kate still has that mille fleur patterned roo... gotta send her a PM... 'cuz i WANT!!!...

so i'm getting rid of about 10 shamo... so... i think......... i need......................... 25 serama...? do i divide the weight of a serama per shamo...? or do i carry the 1...?

serama are so much fun.....gumbi i think cara has a few older chicks like 3-4 months she might be trying to sell....id bug her they are cute
